Singapore the new art capital?

According to research conducted by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG):

Most millionaires per square mile

Singapore is the place in the world with the most millionaires, and according to automotive specialists, the yet unreleased new Lamborghini model with a price tag of more than 1 million euros, has already fifty confirmed orders in a country of less than 5 million inhabitants, and with speed limits of 80 km/h!

Marina Bay Sand Casino

Emmanuel Perrotin of Paris had already covered his costs before the official opening of the art show on January 12, with almost 7,000 visitors on the first day. It must be said that he is very well placed at the Marina Bay Sand Casino founded in 2010 by a Las Vegas group with an outlandish skyline that has become famed around the world: three curved towers, 200m high, with a terrace in the shape of the hull of a ship. A ship 340m long with an open air overflow swimming pool and a surrounding one acre park open to the sky.

The main attraction

The main attraction is in the basement, where the art exhibition is held. With high ceilings comparable to many European exhibition halls such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris, there will be on display the inevitable (and immediately sold) Murakami, the "usual suspects" as we say. There is even a mini-retrospective dedicated to Picasso with fifteen drawings and paintings, spanning from 1901 to 1969. On the other side of the exhibition, the Peking Gallery Xin Dong Cheng exhibits the figure of a woman crying by Picasso, under a double portrait of Mao. A definite culture clash.
